MY STORY

Let me introduce myself. I am AKC registered as COPPERQUEST STORMY KNIGHT. I have earned the titles CD - Companion Dog (AKC Novice Obedience Title), WC - Working Certificate (Which means that I demonstrate a natural desire to retrieve birds) and a CGC - Canine Good Citizen title (Which shows I am trainable, well groomed, and good tempered). Around the house I'm just called Stormy. My dad says I remind him of Scooby Doo and my mom agrees; so I am stuck with that as a nickname! Scooby is pretty cool though and he always gets to eat Scooby Snacks; so I guess it's not that bad!

I was born on February 19,1995. I have 4 brothers and 4 sisters. I was chosen as pick male of the litter (meaning that I was show quality) and held back in the hopes of finding me a show home. One by one, my brothers and sisters went to their new homes. I was almost sold once, but it didn't work out. My mom wanted to make sure that I was properly socialized, so she began working with me and taking me places with her. Well, one thing led to another, and before you knew it, she had fallen in love with me. I wiggled my way straight to her heart. Now she wouldn't sell me for a million bucks!

Mom showed me a few times as a puppy. I won some puppy classes and placed in both my sweepstakes and regular class at the Labrador Retriever Club Of Southern California specialty in 1995. After the show ring, I went out and earned my CD, WC and CGC. Boy, that was fun! Especially the WC where I got to retrieve pigeons and ducks! I was shown once in 1998 and surprised my mom by going Reserve Winners Dog! I was beat by my nephew, Sherman, but I did beat a few Champion Pointed dogs! Maybe my show career's not over yet?...

HOBBIES AND OTHER INTERESTS

Besides going to shows and earning titles; I also love to go to the beach. I like to go camping, swim, play fetch, go hiking, eat, and just curl up close to my mom. I enjoy keeping my mom wrapped around my little paw. I can communicate with her using my ESP and she understands! I get cookies when we go to the bank drive-thru and Big Macs when we go to McDonald's! Oh, what a life! I would love to hear from all you other dogs out there who are in charge of their domain.
